Network Solutions is not worth it at all! I have attempted to close my account twice. Just send a ticket stating you want it closed does not work at all, they will continually to siphon money out of you.
"As soon as the billing cycle is complete, your domain name will be automatically deleted from your account. (Although you will receive renewal notices for this domain name registration and all the services inside the account, please disregard them; the notices will cease once the billing cycle passes.) No further action is required by you regarding this matter."
Total bs. Its been two months and the thing is still drawing money out of me. I found out the reason why too.
"If your services are set to Auto Renew, you must turn this option off to avoid additional charges. We do send a reminder up to 105 days before the expiration date reminding you that your services will automatically renew, so that you have enough time to make sure your credit card information is up-to-date. Forty-five days before the expiration date the credit card on file is charged the current rate for the service(s) and it is renewed for the same term the service(s) were last registered or renewed."
They tell you to do that, but when you try you can't! For some reason that is beyond space, They set you're domain package on Auto-Renew and you can NOT change it at all. Its permanently on Auto-Renew and you can't do anything about it.
Those ridiculous negative comments have got to be from rival service providers. I switched from a VERY frustrating hosting provider a number of years ago to Network Solutions. NS is fantastic! If customer support is ever needed, they answer the phone right after the prompts, and it's an English speaking knowledgeable American. I've never perceived an "outsourced" cs response. And they're kind , considerate and really dedicated to getting stuff done right. Even overboard. This has been some years now and it's been very consistent with me, but my need for cs is less than couple of times in a year for whatever. I have a shared server account, and I'm treated like a first class business user. I saw those false negative reports and just started looking for where I could refute them! My feeling is that they are bogus.
